With these things in mind, I wish more was included to warrant the "Special Edition" moniker such as the ability to play as the 3 original protagonists in each other's missions, co-op mode for Bloody Palace, and some extra costumes would have been nice, too. Next, there's Turbo mode that lets you play at a slightly higher speed which is an interesting novelty. For starters, Legendary Dark Knight mode is included which spawns many more enemy hordes and playing it often feels like you're enjoying a Dynasty Warriors game because most of the enemies just stand around as you hack and slash away. Don't get me wrong it's still a ton of fun and totally worth playing through again as him. It feels like playing a beta version of Vergil before they gave him personality. On the downside, I was hoping to see Vergil fleshed out more but there aren't many new cutscenes and you don't even get to hear his voice all that often. Although playing as him is very similar to how he played in Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition, I had an absolute blast charging through the familiar stages while swapping between weapons, summoning helpers, and tearing through the bosses in style. DEVIL MAY CRY 5 PLAY AS VERGIL PLUS
On the plus side, it performs supremely well with no loading times or noticeable graphical issues. You also can't transfer your save file over from the vanilla version which is a bit disappointing, especially because I just did in the awesome Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered. Unfortunately, this Special Edition doesn't fix any of these issues but it does look great like I said.

I just want to play the darn game you know, like you can on the good ol' Super NES. I honestly can't stand being forced to tweak all sorts of sliders and read pages of text full of acronyms and jargon simply to adjust the visual settings. It also makes me wonder why games nowadays can't just look as good as possible right out of the gate. That being said, I had to play with the options to get it to not look dim and washed out but after I did that, I was quite impressed with how incredible it looks on PS5.
